What Was Done
The application was created as the demonstration of photorealistic space and 3D models of Belarusian mythological characters. The application serves as the educational and gaming platform: the user/player has the possibility to learn information about Belarusian mythological characters and interact with them, observe their reactions on some actions of the user/player.
The user/player moves around the created environment and interacts with the surrounding objects and creatures via HTC Vive controller, that look like hands in the application. Using the controllers the user/player can take, throw, and push the objects of the surroundings. Virtual Belarusian mythological characters inhabit the ancient country estate Lipa.
As a part of the project the following issues were implemented:
- Unity application for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift
- 3D model of a mill (a real location in Belarus). Initially the mill has been created by the photogrammetry methods, later classic 3D modelling technologies have been added.
- 3D models of characters
- 2D animation
- LIPA.CLUB primary site (created HTML, JS, Node.JS)
- Graphics (using design work), used by the project staff to organize a series of exhibitions supporting the LIPA.CLUB project.
