After the release of the first version of Android SDK in November, 2007, Innowise Group began realization of first project for Android platform.

The main goal of project was to develop a set of applications necessary in the everyday use. During realization of project we followed next criteria:
And as result the project has been implemented correspondingly to the requirements of the Customer. Applications use all the power of new Google platform: integrated database, services, location API, file system, accelerometer, xml parser, rich animation and media capabilities.
"The set of applications for android platform" contains such applications as "Audio player", "Camera", "Calendar", "Tasks manager" and "Notes" and etc. Most of these applications has an extended functionality, user friendly and nice looking UI with good usability, some of developed services can be easily integrated into third party applications.
"Weather Service" represents a bridge between internet weather services (like Google weather service and etc) and client application on Gphones. It allows showing current weather and forecasting based on your location and different settings.
Also has been developed "Home Screen Personalization application" that allows creating additional virtual screens which should be populated of widgets. Each virtual screen can contains a set of thematic widgets. User can switch between virtual screens. According to user wishes it can be displayed different home screen pane based on current location. For example, if they're in their office they may wish to display a pane that contains business widgets. Also has been developed automatic switching "virtual screens" based on time or alarm.

This beta version of the Android SDK provides the tools and APIs necessary to begin developing applications on the Android platform using the Java programming language. Android relies on Linux version 2.6 for core system services such as security, memory management, process management, network stack, and driver model. The kernel also acts as an abstraction layer between the hardware and the rest of the software stack.
